India eyes T20 record in match against West Indies

India's cricket team is about to play its 200th T20I match, a significant milestone that sets them apart as one of the most successful T20I teams in the world. The first T20I match between India and West Indies will be played on August 3 at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad.

The match will start at 8:00 PM and the toss will take place half an hour earlier from the scheduled start.

After winning the three-match ODI series against the West Indies, India is expected to continue its dominance in the five-match T20 series, where they are the favorites.

The Indian team, led by Hardik Pandya, plans to utilize the series to provide opportunities to young players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, and Mukesh Kumar, who have been given their first call-ups to the T20I squad based on their impressive performances in the Indian Premier League.

Additionally, Sanju Samson's return to the squad will provide added depth to the Indian batting lineup. Considering the West Indies' recent decline in form across formats, India is well-positioned to win the series comprehensively.

The T20I will be broadcast on Doordarshan Sports channel. It will be available on the Fan Code website and app. Viewers can also catch the action live on the Jio Cinema website and app for free.
