Shivraj Singh Chouhan Could Be Replaced By Narendra Singh Tomar.


Suspense looms large over expansion of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his cabinet in Madhya Pradesh till late Monday evening.
Despite meeting all senior central leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, Chief Minister Chouhan has deferred his scheduled return to Bhopal in the night. Speculations of not only cabinet
expansion but that of change in state
leadership are also doing rounds in the political corridors of the state. Sources in the BJP informed that Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar is going to replace Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the chief minister of the
state. Sources in the BJP on condition of
anonymity told to Absolute India that
things took turn differently on Monday
evening in Delhi. Chouhan met the PM
around 4.30 pm for half an hour at the
PM House. He was expected to talk to
the media after this meeting, but did not
do so.Sources said Chouhan has been
told by the PM to hold another round of
discussions with senior central leaders like Home Minister Amit Shah and national BJP president JP Nadda on Monday night who could in all probabilities would chalk out an strategy for his respectful exit from the state. He might get assurance of getting accommodated in the union cabinet before his return to Bhopal on Tuesday morning.
BJP wants to complete the cabinet expansion and focus on the "crucial" by-elections to 24 seats, which are to be held before September.
Notably, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan called on Prime Minister Narendra
Modi at his residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi on Monday. This was his first meeting with the Prime Minister after assuming office of Chief Minister in March, 2020. Before meeting PM Modi Chouhan had on Sunday evening met Home Minister Amit
Shah, BJP president JP Nadda and Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar in New Delhi. He was accompanied by Madhya Pradesh BJP chief V.D. Sharma and the party's organisation secretary in the state, Suhas Bhagat. "On Monday morning too, another round of meeting took place between Shah and Chouhan following which they met Jyotiraditya Scindia," said a senior BJP leader.
