With Sevilla confirming their place in the finals, it was to been seen who would join them as Inter Milan took on Shaktar Donetsk. Inter came into the match with a 2-1 over Leverkusen while Shaktar run riot as they won 4-0 against FC Basel.

Inter were considered by many as they favourites after they joined the knockout stages by finishing 3rd in their Champions League group. After narrowly missing out the Serie A Title by a point, Antonio Conte's man had a point to prove.

They completely dominated the game but the scoreline doesn't tell you the whole story. They won by 5-0 against Shaktar who just couldn't handle the pressure of Inter. Out of the 5 goals, 4 came in 20 minute second half spell when D'Ambrosio scored in the 64th minute to give Inter a 2-0 lead after Lautaro Martinez had given them a 1-0 lead in the first half.

He got his second when strike partner Lukaku settled him in the 74th minute to put the game beyond bed for Shaktar. Martinez would then set up Lukaku who went to score in 78th minute. To make things worse for Shaktar, Lukaku added another goal in the 84th minute to make it 5-0 for the I Nerazzurri.

Inter would now be hoping to end their title drought and win their first major honour since winning the Coppa Italia in 2010-11 season. The finals will be played on 21st August at Cologne, Germany.
