Rival Builder arrested for Conspiracy in Killing Businessman

 

Mumbai Crime Branch have arrested builder Wasim Shaikh who is said to be the main culprit in the murder of Businessman Abdul Munaf Shaikh(55) who was stabbed to death outside a mosque in Juhu on August 17.

Wasim was a business rival and had a stiff with Abdul over some SRA project and therefore decided to eliminate him from his path.

Mumbai Crime Branch officer official said that a History Sheeter by the name of Abdul Latif Shaikh had been arranged by Wasim to kill Munaf. Latif would later give this role to another History Sheeter Nadeem Shaikh whom he had meet when they were in together in Arthur Road Jail.

Nadeem stabbed him 12 times outside the Irla Mosque in Juhu but was arrested soon on Wednesday. He said to police that he had received 5 lakh rupees for this crime. He also stated that Wasim had given his scooty to him and that they have been tracking Munaf for over 6 months.

The 55 year old Munaf had previously registered a complain to police twice last year that his life is in threat but no enquiry took place.
