Delhi Captails beat Chennai Super Kings by 44 Runs

Match 7 of the Dream 11 IPL saw Delhi Captails beat Chennai Super Kings by 44 Runs as they made it two wins out of two. The defeat meant Chennai Super Kings lost back to back matches while chasing.

MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bowl first. This time the pitch helped the team that batted first. A solid start from openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw saw Delhi score 90 runs of the first 10 overs. Piyush Chawla who didn't had a good outing against Rajasthan Royals struck twice in quick succession to get Prithvi Shaw (64 runs of 43 balls) and Shikhar Dhawan (35 runs of 27 balls).

Wicket keeper Rishab Pant and Skipper Shreyas Iyer handled the steering. Good batting from both saw Delhi finished with the score of 175/3 with Pant remaining unbeaten at the score of 37 runs with 25 balls with 5 fours.

Chennai needed a good start and their openers failed to do it again for a 3rd time in a row. At the end of 7 overs, CSK managed only 34 runs with both Openers Vijay and Watson back in the Pavilion.

Faf du Plessis as seen in the tournament so far kept his cool. He tried his best again but the score was too far from their reach.Faf scored 43 runs of 35 balls but didn't get any support from other batsmen. As the match went ahead it never looked like CSK wanted to win.

Chennai finished with the score of 131/7 in 20 overs. The question now remains is what is going wrong for Chennai.
