Los Angeles Dodgers end a 32 years old drought of a World Series Title

Los Angeles Dodgers win their 7th World Series Title

The 32 Years Long drought of the MLB World Series Champions ended for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as they Defeated Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 3-1 in Game 6 and won the series 4-2.

After falling 4-3 to the Houston Astros in 2017 and 4-1 to the Boston Red Sox in 2018, the Los Angeles Dodgers had to prove to the world that their are not the chokers anymore and can win it all. Though it wasn't that easy for them in Game 6 as they had to come back and win.

Tony Gonsolin started Game 6 for them with an high ERA of 9. Rays batted first as they were the away team for this game. The person Rays should be thanking would be the breakout star of the year Randy Arozarena. Despite losing the series there was no need for him or his team to feel ashamed off. He slammed a solo home run in the top of the 1st innings to give the Rays a 1-0 lead. This was his 10th Homerun of the postseason, the most by any batter.

For their defence it was Blake Snell. He had a great game but was shocking taken of in the 6th innings despite allowing only 2 hits, with a shutout and 9 strikeouts. That decision proved costly for the Rays.

As soon as he was gone, Mookie Betts drived in a double to allow Barnes to go up to the third base. Then an error pitch by Anderson, was not collected well by the catcher Zunino as the ball went away from him and allowed Barnes to steal home a run to make it 1-1, with Betts tagging up to 3rd base.

Then Corey Seager grounded the ball to right field but Betts was too quick as the Rays were unable to tag him out at the home plate as the Dodgers made it 2-1. Despite this, Betts still had something up his sleeve.

He was critized by many as he only had one HR in the postseason. He silenced his critics in the bottom of the 8th inning, when he smashed home a solo home run. With stunning pitching from the Mexican Urias, the Dodgers shutted the Rays down and won the World Series. Some would say they deserved it this season. In a short season of just 60 games instead of the regular 162, the Dodgers finished with a 43-17 Win/Loss record and overcame a 3-1 Series deficient in the National League Championship Series to win it all.
