All residents of a Thorang Village of a Lahaul valley in Manali, Himachal Pradesh apart from a 52 year old man named Bhushan Thakur have been tested positive for Covid-19. The Lahaul-Spiti Valley has become the worst affected district by population ratio.
The surge in Lahaul Valley has restricted the tourist from travelling and it has been converted into a containment zone. All movements of activity has been put to hold by the administration.
According to offical sources, The Village consisted of 42 residents as many had shifted to Kullu for winter. Out of all 42 tests, only one came negative.
All the villagers had gathered at one place during a religious programme a few days back. The lack of social distancing and social gathering is being blamed for the community transmission in the village.Several Residents of neighbouring villages have also been tested positive because of the outbreak of this.
