Negative Covid-19 Report Mandatory For People Arriving In Mumbai From Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and Goa

 


The surge in Covid-19 Cases in the country has raised tensions among the citizens. A feared second wave of Covid-19 is likely to be seen as seen in European Countries. With a slight surge in Maharashtra as well, the MHA government have made it compulsory for travellers arriving in Mumbai from Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Goa to have a Negative Covid-19 report.

These rule will come into affect from Today itself. The report should be 3-4 days old or they will be tested on their arrival. For Flights, the test must be taken atleast 72 hours(3 days) before landing and for trains the time is 96 hours(4 days).

Passengers arriving without a negative Covid-19 report will have to undergo test on arrival immediately at their own cost. They will be allowed to go home only after taking the test. At railway stations, those without Covid test reports will need to undergo antigen test.

Officals fear that unregulated movement of people after Diwali could result in spike of Covid-19 cases in states and cities like Mumbai.
