FIFA BEST AWARDS 2020

Robert Lewandowski

In a never seen before season where the game was was stopped for nearly 3 months due to COVID-19 and with the cancellation of the annual Ballon d'Or ceremony, it looked like many talented players would miss the individual honours but after some consideration the annual FIFA Best Award took place yesterday.

Robert Lewandowski won the FIFA Best Men Player's award finishing ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Bayern Munchen striker has a great year in which he won 5 trophies with Bayern scoring 55 goals in all competition. He would have easily won the Ballon d'Or this year has it been conducted.

Despite Guiding Bayern Munchen to an unprecedented treble,Hansi Flick somehow failed to win the best coach of the year award as Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was declared the winner for his achievement of guiding Liverpool to its first league title in 30 years.

Lucy Bronze was declared the winner of FIFA Best Women player of the year when she helped Lyon win a third straight UWCL and later joining Manchester City and helping them retain the FA Women's Cup.

As for the Women Coach for the year, the award went to Sarina Weigman who led Netherlands to the 2019 World Cup Final.
