Varsha Raut skips ED Summon; "Need Four More Days" says Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Raut's wife Varsha Raut has asked for "four more days" to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Investigation of the scam in the Punjab-Maharashta Cooperative Bank. She was asked to join the probe today for the 3rd time this month but once again skipped it.

Speaking to the media on this Raut said "We have asked for about four more days." Later he added "I have still not seen the notice but will reply to it as, despite differences, we respect the central agencies. It is an action out of political vendetta and everyone knows it. I am a Rajya Sabha MP and a lawmaker. I will respect the law despite some people holding it hostage and managing it to evade action."

He would later take a dig at BJP by allegedly that those who commit financial scams tend to join BJP. "We have committed no wrong and we are not afraid" he boosted.

According to some sources,Varsha Raut has sought for time till January 5th,2021 to appear before the ED and join them in the Investigation process.

BJP Leader Kirit Somaiyya didn't held back and said such delays exposes the reality of Raut.

"This is a third notice to Varsha Raut. Why is she not appearing before the agency and disclosing the facts?" said Somaiyya. He added "They will have to return the money as it was related to the scam."

The ED had found that there were some transactions between Varsha and Pravin Raut with the latter being arrested recently after the Investigation. Directors of Housing Development and Infrastructure Limited (HDIL) Rakesh Wadhawan and Sarang Wadhawan have already been arrested in connection with this scam.
