Day 4 of the 2nd Test of the Border-Gavasakar Trophy between Australia and India started with India having an upper hand in this game. With great display of bowling on Day 3,they have reduced the Aussies for 133/6 with the host having a short lead of just 2 runs.
Cameron Green and Pat Cummins tried to rally back with some resilient batting. The duo added a 57 run partnership before was dismissed by a short ball from Bumrah.
After a hard fought knock from Green of 45 runs,Australia somehow managed to score 200 before being bowled out at that score with a mere lead of just 69 runs and setting a target of 70 runs.
However there was some hope still left for Australia as they had bowled out India for just 36 in the second inning of the the first test. Surely that was not going to happen again? Or was it?
The answer is no. Though India did fell some nerves tangling and had flashbacks of the first test when they Lost Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara quickly with the score at 19/2.
India didn't panic like last time out and some good shots from Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane ensured India got over the finish line safely without losing any more wicket and winning the match by 8 wickets and levelling the series. The 3rd Test match will be played from January 7th,2021 from Sydney Cricket Ground.
