Bombay High Court rejects Sonu Sood's Plea

 

On Thursday the Bombay High Court rejected actor Sonu Sood's plea filed by him against the notice by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over illegal construction at his residental home "Shakti Sagar".

It has been noted that Sood's lawyer,Advocate Amogh Singh had requested a time of '10 Weeks' to comply with the notice issued by the Civic body and had requested the Bombay High Court to direct and restrain BMC from from taking any demolition action.

However Justice Prithviraj Chavan rejected his plea and dismissed the court. The Court also said that he was given a lot of chances in the past but he failed to take any action.

As per the notice by BMC, Sonu Sood had been alleged to carry out structural changes in his Six Storey Building and had converted it into a hotel without taking any sought of permission from the Civic body.

Sood has been in the media spotlight since last year. His instrumental role during the COVID-19 Pandemic has really made a name for him. He had arranged transports for migrants, gave them food and medicines and always extended the help of hand whenever someone approached him.
