On Thursday, Elon Musk the outspoken entrepreneur of Tesla Incorporation and CEO of SpaceX, beated Amazon Owner Jeff Bezos to become the richest person in the world.
A rally of 4.8% in the price of electronic carmaker's share helped him go past Jeff Bezos on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a ranking of world's wealthiest people.
His net worth at 10:15 am in New York was of $188.5 billion around $1.5 billion more than Bezos. Bezos have held the top spot since October 2017. And being the CEO of SpaceX, Musk is also the rival of Bezos in the private space run due to Bezos being the owner of Blue Origin LLC.
Well 2020 wasn't bad for everyone. His net worth has risen by around $150 billion in the past 12 months. It is possible the fastest bout of wealth Creation in history.
One of the reason for his high rise has been the surge in the price of Tesla's in the share market. Due to the consistent profits, there has been a surge of 743% in it's price.
