Sunday Special: Jaali Note(1960)

Directed by Shakti Samanta, Jaali Note ("Fake Currency") is a 1960 Hindi film based on the theme of counterfeit money. It stars Dev Anand along with Madhubala, Helen, Madan Puri and Om Prakash.

The film became a hit at the box-office. It's music was composed by O. P. Nayyar, which became popular with some of the most dramatically romantic songs like- "Dil Hai Aapka Huzoor, Lijiye Na Lijiye", "Sach Kehta Hoon Bahut Haseen Ho" sung by Asha Bhosle, Mohammed Rafi.

Brief Synopsis:-

Inspector Dinesh(Dev Anand) goes undercover to infiltrate a gang that produces fake currency. In the process, he disguises himself as a wealthy man and gets arrested in order to uncover the truth. Madhubala is seen playing the role of a Press Reporter - Renu.
