All Square At Anfield as Liverpool and Manchester United play out a 0-0 draw

The Biggest Fixture of the weekend was played out from Anfield as two rivals faced out in North West of England. This meeting between Champions Liverpool and League Leaders Manchester United was described as the biggest game in context of the title race.

United game into this match on the back of a clinical win against Burnley. The result took them above Liverpool and now had a chance to go 6 points clear of the Reds in search of their first league title since 2012-13 season.

The Game didn't live up to the hype just like the Manchester Derby in December. It finished 0-0 as Liverpool failed to score for a third league game straight. They have to thank their goalkeeper Alisson for saving their blushes as he had two late great saves to deny Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba.

As for Liverpool their front line of Mohammed Salah,Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino struggled again. Missing their inform attacker Diego Jota is really haunting them. Midfielders Thiago Alcantara and Xherdan Shaqiri were great in the middle of the park with the former having a stunning long range effort being saved by United Keeper David De Gea.

Due to this result, Liverpool stayed on 3rd level on points with 2nd place Leicester City on goal Difference. Later Manchester City hosted Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium and had a chance to go up to 2nd with a win.

City did what they do the best. They thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 with goals from Gundogan, a free kick from Raheem Sterling and a brace from Centre Back John Stones. Stones has seen an unexpected resurgence in his form after the arrival of Ruben Dias. With the win City are now 1 point behind Manchester United with a game in hand. If City win their midweek game, they will go top of the table. Talk about a title race.
