Woman withdraws Rape Complaint Against Dhananjay Munde

The unidentified Woman from Mumbai who had registered a complaint against Maharashtra's Social Justice Minister Dhananjay Munde, has now withdrawn her complaint albeit without mentioning any reason.

The Mumbai Police said that she has withdrawn the complaint and have now asked her to submit a notarized affidavit in this regard. On January 11 she had filed a Complaint Against him accusing him of rape and sexual assualt on the pretext of marriage in 2006.

When asked about this the matter, Munde had denied all allegations bestowed upon him and had labelled it as an attempt to 'Blackmail' him. He though would accept that he has been in a relationship with her sister and has two kids with her.

Munde has claimed that since 2019 she(the complainted sister) and her sister had started demanding money from him. He has also filed a Complaint with the police against them regarding this and all of this have been happening since November 2020.

As soon as the news had broked out the opposition had demanded that he resign from the Cabinet immediately. BJP MP Kirit Somaiyya had also written a letter to Election Commission seeking an action against Munde for allegedly hiding information of his "two wives".

The NCP had ruled out any action against Munde until he was proved guilty. Munde had joined the NCP in 2013 from BJP. This out of sudden move has now left everyone speechless as an explanation of this is still awaited.
