Mohan Delkar who was an independent MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli, was found dead in a hotel room in Mumbai today. The 58 year politician who is a husband and father of two was staying at a Hotel in Marine Drive where he took his extreme step.
During the Investigation of his death, the Police have revealed that this is a case of suicide and a suicide note written in Gujarati was found from his room.
In May 2019 he was elected in the 17th Lok Sabha which is said to be his 7th term in the lower house of the parliament. He was a member of standing comittee on personnel, public grievances, law and justice and was also a part of committee of the ministry of home affairs in Lok Sabha.
The Mumbai Police has said "A Suicide not has been found. An investigation is being done. The exact cause of death will be known after the post-mortem is conducted."
