Bengal experiences Two Earthquake in less than 12 hours

Tremors of mild earthquake was felt on Tuesday morning in North Bengal, when a 4.1 magnitude earthquake hitted the surface. This earthquake was the second, the region had experienced in less than 12 hours as an earthquake of 5.4 magnitude hitted the surface of Sikkim yesterday night. The tremors of this one was felt in the West Bengal, along with Assam and Bihar.

According to offical reports, the earthquake on Monday night occured at 8:49 pm at the depth of 10 km near the India-Bhutan Border. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called the CM's of all States to take stock of the situation.

The second earthquake in the morning occured at 7:07 am as the location was identified some 64 I'm away from Siliguri. People came out of their homes in panic as the tremors were felt. However no Casualties or Damage has been reported.
