In order to control the spread and "Break The Chain" of COVID-19 in Maharashtra, the state government has announced new restrictions and guidelines which will come to effect from 8pm on April 22 and remain till 7am on May 1.
The state yesterday reported over 67,468 new cases which pushed it's total tally beyond the 40 lakh mark.
According to the new restrictions, All Government Offices (State, Central, under local Authority) will operate with only 15% attendance except for emergency services.
Marriage ceremonies will be allowed only at a single hall and only for 2 hours with no more than 25 persons attending the event. Any family flaunting this restriction will be fined Rs 50,000.
Private vehicles can be used only for essential or emergency services. Buses with the driver will operate only at 50% seating capacity. People travelling without any valid reason will be fined Rs 10,000.
