NCB in Mumbai seizes 2 kgs of pseudoephedrine hidden in kitchen appliances parcel

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have now seized around 2kgs of pseudoephedrine from a parcel of a kitchen appliances which were meant to be couriered to Australia.

The NCB zonal unit on Monday raided a courier company's office in the suburb of Andheri in Mumbai and recovered the drug from a consignment of kitchen appliances. According to officals it was booked from Nagpur and was heading to Australia.

Pseudoephedrine is a stimulant which is known for its usage in shrinking swollen nasal mucous membranes. The drug is also used in making of psychotropic substances such as amphetamines and methamphetamines.

The NCB on Monday also nabbed a 62 year old man with 70 grams of heroin from Vasai Road Railway Station.
