Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to chair a crucial meeting regarding the Class 12 Board Examinations today evening. It is said that he will be briefed with "all possible options" following extensive discussions with all the government stakeholders.
During a virtual meeting on May 23, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) proposed holding the examinations from July 15 to August 26 with two options.
The two options were either to held regular exams in 19 major subjects at notified centres or shorter duration exams at schools where the students are enrolled.
Surprisingly majority of the states expressed their opinion in favour of holding the examinations said Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. Maharashtra has asked for the examination of the "non-examination route" while Delhi and Kerala suggested vaccination of students ahead of the exams.
