A week after being arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Siddharth Pithani, friend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was sent to a 14-day judicial custody in a connection with the drugs case.
Pithani was the flatmate of Rajput and was said to be living with him for over a year at the time of the actor's death. As per the statement by the Mumbai Police, Pithani was said to be the first person to see Rajput hanging in his room.
According to the PTI, an NCB team lead by Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede had launched a search for Pithani when his name surfaced up in the investigation by the central agency.
