UGC issues new exam and admission guidelines for academic year 2021-22

 

On Friday night, the University Grants Commission (UGC) released new guidelines regarding the Exams and Admissions process.

As per the new Guidelines, Universities must complete the final year/semester exams by August 31,2021. As for the admissions in undergraduate courses, the process will only begin after the CBSE, ISCE and other state board Class 12 results are announced. The new Academic session for UG (undergraduate) students will begin from October 1,2021.

It is expected that results of CBSE, ICSE and other state boards will be released by July 31,2021. Henceforth the admission process will begin from August 1,2021. The time given to universities to complete the admission process is of 30th September,2021.

The study session can commence in online, offline or blended mode, according to the pandemic situation in the respective areas.
