With the constant rise of COVID-19 cases of Omicron variant in the national captial, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) have placed a ban on cultural events and gatherings to celebrate the upcoming festivities such as Christmas and New Year.
The DDMA have announced "No mask/No entry should be strictly ensured at shops/workplaces".
- The country so far has recovered 213 cases of Omicron, out of which Delhi ranks highest with 57 such cases followed by Maharashtra.
The Centre, in an advisory, has asked the states to activate "war rooms" and bring back curbs, including night curfews to contain it.
