J-K: Top JeM commander Zahid Wani among 5 terrorists killed in dual encounters.

On Sunday, the Jammu and Kashmir police informed that five terrorists including Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Zahid Wani were killed in dual encounters in the Kashmir valley in the last 12 hours.

The police informed that of the five terrorists killed, including Wani, four were killed in Pulwama and one was gunned down in Budgam.

Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbag Singh told ANI, "In the last 12 hours, as many as 5 terrorists have been gunned down by security forces in Kashmir valley. Of these five terrorists, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Zahid Wani and a Pakistani terrorist have been killed."

As per the Indian Army, Wani was the mastermind behind various IED attacks since 2017 and was recruiting young boys from the valley.

Addressing a joint press conference, Major General Srivastava said, "Following an operation that took place last night (in Pulwama), we've neutralized Zahid Mansoor Wani, JeM commander in this area. He was one of the masterminds behind various IED attacks since 2017. He was also actively involved in the recruitment of young boys."
