On Saturday, dead body of celebrity fashion designer Prathyusha Garimella (35) was found in suspicious circumstances at her Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The Circle Inspector of Banjara Hills has stated that she was found lying in the bathroom and a carbon monoxide cylinder has been seized from her bedroom.
The Osmania General Hospital mortuary autopsy report concluded that Prathyusha died of cardiac arrest due to respiratory failure, possibly after inhaling carbon monoxide gas. The forensic examination report (FSL) is awaited. The body has been transferred to Apollo Hospital mortuary on request of her parents.
The police have suspected her suicide and registered a case in Banjara Hills under provisions related to a suspicious death. Further investigation will be carried out.
Prathyusha, who was the founder of her own label named Prathyusha Garimella, used to run a fashion studio in Banjara Hills and had top clients from Tollywood, Bollywood and also from other sectors.
Last year, Prathyusha had told Femina that prior to starting off her fashion career, she had studied in the UK for her master's following which she joined her father's business - LED manufacturing company. However, soon it dawned on Prathyusha that she wasn't cut out for the job and that her interests were somewhere elsewhere.
