T Rajendar & CRED show why timely payments pay off

CRED has launched a new brand film featuring the iconic T Rajendar to highlight the rewards of good financial behaviour. Speaking directly to ‘TR Nation’, the multi-talented actor, director, lyricist and composer takes on the role of an explainer, turning creditworthiness into a relatable and rewarding concept.

The campaign comes as Chennai emerges as one of India’s most financially aware cities. According to a recent CRED–YouGov survey, 65 percent of Chennai respondents know their exact credit score, the highest among Indian metros. Additionally, 52 percent report credit adoption, and 46 percent use personal finance apps to manage their money.

In the film, a late-night doomscroll quickly transforms into a glimpse of rewards CRED members can earn by paying bills on the app, including jewellery, vacations, gadgets, and makeovers.

Launched on Wednesday, the film will run for six weeks across Tamil Nadu. On the CRED app, members can access curated offers from brands like Butterheads, VS Mani, Bodycraft, Sangeetha Veg, Cha Republic, GIVA, A2B, Lakme and more. Limited-edition TR merchandise is also available on the CRED Store for members in Tamil Nadu.
