VESP students build AI job portal for freshers, PwBD

Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Polytechnic (VESP), Chembur, has successfully launched a fully automated recruitment consulting website (https://www.mumbai121.com), developed by second-year Diploma Engineering students. Featuring an approximately 300-line algorithm, the platform is designed to streamline hiring for fresh graduates and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), offering an inclusive, automated solution for both job seekers and employers.

Built under an industry-guided project, the platform automates job applications and delivers curated candidate profiles to startups and small businesses, all supported by a secure dual-server system. It eliminates manual job searches and simplifies recruitment for companies. The project was led by students Vasa Mahira Jignesh, Thakur Swanandi Arun, Gaikwad Gaurav Santosh, and Thakur Nishit Sanjay, under the mentorship of VESP alumnus Dinesh Sehgal, reflecting a strong focus on tech-driven social impact.

Vikrant Joshi, Principal, VESP said:

This initiative is a shining example of how education, when paired with purpose, can lead to meaningful innovation. Our students have not only showcased their work but also their empathy and drive to make a social impact. We are immensely proud of their achievement and remain committed to nurturing such changemakers of tomorrow.

Registrations are open. Freshers and PwBD candidates can now create profiles and access relevant opportunities, while companies can post openings and connect with pre-screened talent at no cost. The initiative underscores VESP’s commitment to innovation, inclusion, and real-world impact through student-led efforts.
