Vaishnavi Sharma's ANHAD enthrals Chandigarh with poetry and raags

Poet-performer Vaishnavi Sharma, known by her artistic identity Raag Vaishnavi, received a warm audience response for her presentation of ANHAD – Poetry with Indian Raags at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh, on 26 May 2026 as part of the Jashn-e-Adab Sahityotsava – Cultural Kaarva'n Virasat 2026.

ANHAD is a distinctive live artistic offering that brings to life the poetry of Vaishnavi's father, noted poet Satish "Srijan", through her evocative vocal interpretation set to Indian classical raags. The presentation invited audiences into an immersive space of introspection, memory, and emotional connection, offering a rare pause from the pace of everyday life.

The Chandigarh leg followed an equally appreciated performance in Shimla earlier in the week, marking ANHAD's continued journey through the cultural circuit. Vaishnavi's sincere stage presence and emotionally resonant delivery were noted by audiences, reinforcing ANHAD as a celebration of poetic legacy and musical storytelling rather than a conventional performance.

With back-to-back presentations in Shimla and Chandigarh drawing positive responses, ANHAD is steadily establishing itself as a compelling live cultural property with the potential to travel to literary festivals and curated performance spaces across India. The performances were presented under the banner of Jashn-e-Adab Sahityotsava – Cultural Kaarva'n Virasat 2026.
