He passed away yesterday due to Colon Cancer at his home surrounded by his wife and his family. He had developed Colon Cancer at Stage III in 2016 and fought hard for 4 years. Boseman had never spoke about his diagnosis publicly and continued to work in movies.
Boseman before getting his first starring role in 2013 decided that if he couldn't make it as an actor then he would start directing. In 2013 he was offered a role in the movie 42 by director Brian Helgeland.
After some roles in movie, he got his fame when he signed up for the role of T'Challa/Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by first appearing in the 2016 movie Captain America:Civil War.
He headlined in the MCU movie Black Panther in 2018 potraying the backstory of his character and his home country of Wakanda in Africa.
He would then be a part of Avengers: Infinity War in 2018 and Avengers:Endgame in 2019, which both went on to become the highest grossing movie of that particular year with Endgame being the highest grossing movie of all Time.
