India continues to set unwanted records as the number of Coronavirus cases keeps on increasing in the country. Two days ago India saw nearly 78,000 Cases in a single day which is the highest spike in a day across the entire world.
For the last 4 days, India has been recording more than 75,000 in a single day, a figure no country has achieved yet. The earlier highest day spike was of 74,354 cases recorded by United States of America on July 19.
With more than 58 lakh cases, USA continues to the worst hit country but the daily cases count has slowed down compared to India as they have recorded more 45,000 in a single day for 3 days compared to India's 75,000.
The officals believe and hope that the rise in cases is because of the rapid testing. Everyday around 8-9 lakh tests are been performed compared to earlier's 2 lakh cases per day.
The positivity rate-the percentage of people who are found to be positive out of those who are been tested has been on the decline. That means fewer number of people are testing positive for the same number of tests. This can indicate that the widespread has slowed down than earlier.
India(at the moment of writing this) According to the stats by WorldoMeter has 36,24,613 cases out of which 27,75,194 have Recorded with 64,646 people losing their lives due to this deadly virus. The active number of cases in India is 7,84,773.
