Uddhav Questions the power of state government by saying all powers are concentrated in one hand

Maharashtra's CM Uddhav Thackeray

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray without naming anyone has said the all the power is concentrated in one hand in the country.

Uddhav was speaking at the opposition Chief Minister's video conference saying that there is no need to think whether there could be a middle path between the previous tax structure and existing Goods and Service Tax(GST) regime.

"Rajiv Ji(Gandhi) brought the Panchayat Raj, which means centralisation of power to small institutions. What is happening today? All the powers are getting concentrated in one hand. Then what is the meaning of state government? Will the state government no longer be required in the future and one man can rule the country we will just keep nodding? We won't allow it to happen" he said in the meeting called by Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

He also mentioned that Maharashtra's GST Dues are increasing with every passing month but the Centre is yet to pay the state.
