A day after being released from her 14 month detention, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti meet the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference supremo Farooq Abdullah and his son and former Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah.
Omar tweeted out a picture of her sitting with them this afternoon (October 14) as they invited her to meet them. There they shared a long talk enquiring about her health and how here lifestyle had changed.
He also mentioned that Mufti has agreed to join a meeting of the Gupkar Declaration signatories tomorrow (October 15). She was in detention since August 2019 on orders from Supreme Court.
She than thanked them on her Twitter Account for their invitation and also said that she hopes they can change things 'together'.
Her release comes early ahead of the expiry deadline set by the Supreme Court.Her daughter Iltija Mufti had challenged the court on their decision of her mother's detention and had also labelled them as 'illegal detention'.
