The Second Game of the National League Championship Series (NLCS) saw Atlanta Braves beat Los Angeles Dodgers 8-7 to take a 2-0 lead and continue their dominance in this season's postseason with 7 straight wins.

It was reported that Clayton Kershaw would start the game for Dodgers but for some reason he was withdrawn from the match and the start was given to Tony Gonsolin who had got great numbers in regular season with an ERA(earned run average) of 2.31.

After 3 scoreless innings thanks to good defensive plays from both side, the first run of the match was cashed in the top of 4th innings when Game 1's hero Freddie Freeman slammed a 2 run home run to give the Braves a 2-0 lead.

The lead was extended in the top of 5th innings when Christian Pache hit an RBI double to bring home a run to make it 3-0. Freeman then cashed his 3rd RBI of the game when he drived his shot in left center field to make it 4-0 for the Braves. A bases loaded walk and a sac fly by Albies made it 6-0.

A ground rule double in the top of the 8th innings made it 7-0 with the Dodgers looking completely worn out. It was in the bottom of the 7th innings when Dodgers started to fire back.

A 3 run home run from Corey Seager made it 7-3 and ignited the comeback from the Dodgers. It looked the comeback rally was short lived when Albies slammed a solo home run in the top of the 9th innings to make it 8-3 for Braves. But Los Angeles were don't there.

With a score of 8-4 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, Max Muncy crushed a 2 run home run to make it 8-6 for the Dodgers bringing back the belief of miraculous comeback. An error allowed Smith to reach 1st base and then Cody Bellinger slammed a hit for a RBI Triple to bring home Smith and reach 3rd Base Himself to make it 8-7. A good defensive play from Austin Riley got the 3rd out to end the ballgame and hope for Dodgers of a comeback.

Only positive for Dodgers from this game would be that if required their hitters can deliver clutch hits for them. Now down 2-0 in the Series, they will have to start firing on all cylinders if they were to reach a 3rd World Series in 4 years.
