Indian-Chinese Militaries Agree to Exercise Restraint and Avoid Misunderstanding at LAC

 


In the 8th Round Meeting of military talks, the Indian and Chinese militaries have agreed to exercise restraint at LAC And try to avoid misunderstanding.

The two sides have also agreed to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries.

Both sides have agreed to maintain Communication and dialogue through military channels and to push for settlement of other outstanding issues and to maintain peace and tranquility in border areas.

The talks have said to be have lasted for around 10 hours and both sides have agreed for another meeting soon. The two countries have been in a border standoff since May 2020. Fuel was given to this fire when soldiers of both countries had a clash at the Galwan Valley in June which led to deaths of 20 Indian Soldiers.
