The list includes 4 Jumbo COVID Centres built by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Operation Authority (MMRDA), the City and Development Corporation (CIDCO) and the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) which are all state government agencies.
In a letter to Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Chahal wrote that it was the state government and not the BMC that had asked these agencies to build jumbo facilities to make up for the shortage of health infrastructure.
The MMRDA had setted up two jumbo Covid Centres in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and has passed a resolution of Rs 54 Crore to BMC for it's construction as they think it the Civic Body's responsibility to set up these infrastructures.
The CIDCO had setted up a centre in Mulund, while MMRC setted up In Dahisar. The BMC have also setted up their own Covid Centres and now disagree to pay for this infrastructures.
