Supreme Court: No Muharram Procession

The SC had allowed the opening of Jain Temples in Mumbai because the places were only 3

The Supreme Court of India has made their decision and have declined to grant Muharram Procession this year as they do not want a whole situation where a "whole community may be targeted for spreading" the CoronaVirus.

The bench says that if it grants relief for this process, then a lot of chaos will broke down in the country and a particular Community will be targeted for spreading Coronavirus which they don't want to happen.

"We as a Court cannot risk the health of all people. If you had asked for one particular place, we could have assessed the risk" the CJI said.

The Bench also pointed out that no state had made a party in PIL. It allowed the petitioner who is based in Lucknow to approach the Allahabad High Court for permission allowing the event in Lucknow.
