4 killed and 5 injured in a car accident at Crawford Market

 

The Accident is reported to have taken place at 9pm

A major car accident took place on Monday at the Crawford Market in Mumbai when a car slammed into the wall of Cafe Janata while smashing over pedestrians.

According to the reports 4 people have said to have died in this accident while 5 people including the driver of the car are left critically injured whose treatment is being done at the JJ Hospital.

Among the four dead, 3 succumbed right on the spot. Three of the dead are women- Saroja Naidu(65),Zubeda Abdul Khan(60) and Saira Banu(60). The fourth deceased has been identified as Mohammed Naeem (55).

A passerby Asad Quershi said that he saw a silver Maruti Suzaki driving off fast from the Metro Cinema signal towards the Carnac Bunder where it the first pedestrian Saira Banu and then went on to hit Saroja Naidu near the Sadanand Hotel.

The car then went on to hit other two pedestrian and then get slammed into the wall of Cafe Janata and broke down the wall.
